Stacy Lyn Harris – River Region Living Magazine
I have grown to anticipate the day each issue of River Region Living Magazine hits the stands. Every issue is packed with tips and new insights from gardening and cooking to art, travel, and history. This Holiday issue shares tips for cooking with your kids, herbs to plant during the winter, gifts to buy for your friends and family, and perfect travel destinations during the holidays.
You can see why I am honored to be on the cover of the Holiday Issue of River Region Living Magazine!! It’s a privilege to share my all-time favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe with the readers.
The editor, Jodi Hatley, is one of the most kind people I know…and what a business woman! She is a rock star!
Jodi loves family. In this issue she inspires us to get our kids in the kitchen. As you can see in the picture, we were having some serious fun…maybe a bit too much. I couldn’t get Milly to act serious. She had a blast which made me have a blast! Blasts are catching!!
One of the things that made this so special to me is that my daughter (16 years old) photographed the cover and the article photos! Jodi wanted to send a photographer who is excellent, but Graylyn wanted to try her hand at it! I am so proud of her!!
Truly, there is no better way to spend the holiday than in the kitchen with your kids. Even though it may be chaotic, the cookies may turn out wonky, and the kitchen may get sticky, the memories too will stick! Traditions will begin to form. Your kids will be a little bit more happy and Thanksgiving and Christmas will always be a time to cherish!!
