Since I have been blogging, I’ve met some of the most talented people that create flavorful meals using great Southern ingredients. I want to showcase some of their favorite Southern Easter recipes in hopes that you will give some of these recipes a try!

I’m starting with the meat! Look at this from Paula at Call me PMc. It looks perfectly simple and delicious..and just wait to see her recipe for cookies as you scroll down.
Lamb is one of my very favorite meats. It’s always tender and crazy flavorful especially when paired with a mint sauce. It cooks itself and the potatoes are to die for! This is my Easter Tradition Meal!
Now, for a few sides that will rock your world. Melissa’s Macaroni and Cheese is creamy and luscious! She’s an amazing lady and can cook like nobody’s business. My sweet friend Donya Mullins, from A Southern Soul, has the most fresh, bright, gorgeous recipes. There are two of them that I just don’t think that I can resist! This Roasted Carrot recipe is one that I am instantly drawn to and it’s simplicity is amazing. This will have to go on my table this year. Carrot recipes always bring color and “Easter” to the table and this recipe has two of my favorite ingredients – honey and lemons.

Deviled Eggs were always sitting around my grandmother’s house at Easter, and later after I had children she brought them to sit around my house to munch on while dinner was being prepared. She always stashed some in the refrigerator because she knew they’d all be gone if she’d left them all out. I’ve added some fun toppings to my grandmother’s recipe. I hope you all love them!
Now for the desserts, my favorite!! Easter connotes some of the most memorable desserts for me…more so than any other holiday. I grew up always always having this Carrot Cake on the table every Easter. This heirloom recipe from my Grandmother never ceases to amaze me. It’s always moist. One year I over-baked it, and still it was moist.
O.K., Look at these cute, easy to make, delicious Cinnabunnies from my friend at Plain Chicken!!! How could there be a better craft to do with the kids. This one you can eat!! I know what I am making a new tradition in my home now…and one day with my grandkids (which I hope is later than sooner…but still)!
